Our Mission
Our mission is to equip Millville's children, youth and families with the skills necessary for academic achievement, continuing education, life management, spiritual growth, future leadership within the community and equitable exposure to the arts, athletics and activities not often afforded to center city residents. We do this through building loving relationships, investing our time, talents and treasure in their future. Meeting people where they are, through the love of Jesus Christ rising above their circumstances.

A Distinct Identity
Rise and Shine Ministries knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. With a rich history in our community we realized that by working together we could help our family's overcome life challenges through the unconditional love of Jesus. What does the mean, it means showing up, following through and listening to the hurts and heartaches so many have experienced. It means speaking truth, it means offering opportunities for our children, youth and their families to grow, feel safe and not be judged.
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

What We Do
Encountering God is the most important goal of our organization. We do this by meeting the very real needs of our community. We offer an afterschool program helping children daily with their homework. We address food insecurity by providing dinner Monday through Friday to all children 2-18 years if age. As well as offering a hot meal we have an on site pantry as well as partnering with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, our local food closet, Help and Hope Ministries and The Holly City Development Corporation. We have various life groups where no topic is off limits, addressing the issues that challenge our youth today. We offer adult small groups addressing life issues through a Godly lens. As much as we are offering the family's that attend Rise and Shine, they serve and give back to the community. Through various partnerships and opportunities to serve, our kids give back to Millville.
